Dentsply Sirona Validates Cox RapidHeat HVHA Steriliser

The COX RapidHeat HVHA steriliser has been validated by Dentsply Sirona Germany as the preferred technology to sterilise the mirror sleeve/prism of Dentsply Sirona’s CEREC Omnicam digital impression system. Dentsply Sirona state that CEREC Omnicam mirror sleeves are not sterilisable using steam and can only be sterilised using dry heat.

The guidelines of CDC and ADA state that sterilisation is required over high-level disinfection when a critical or semi-critical instrument is labelled as heat-tolerant.  CEREC mirror sleeves MUST BE heat sterilised if a validated heat sterilisation technology is available (as required by FDA) and NOT chemically disinfected!
